is located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  It is a very pretty village with lovely mellow Cotswold stone cottages and a gentle stream running through it with a Ford and a large village green. The Fox Inn which overlooks the green, serves local Donnington ales and good pub food.   The 12th century Church of St Pauls stands in a tree shaded cemetery where there is a magnificent yew tree that is over 1300 years old.  The graveyard has some very old bale tombs, several dating back to the sixteenth century.

Broadwell is in an ideal location.  Although it is only one and a half miles from Stow on the Wold it is relatively undiscovered and therefore a quiet village.  However Moreton in Marsh is only four miles away and the villages of Bourton on the Water, Upper and Lower Slaughter, Upper and Lower Swell are also closeby.
